Leadership Park City
Leadership Park City is offered to individuals who live and/or work in Park City, Summit County, or the Wasatch Back. The revered program has a 30-year history of training leaders and building community. The list of 900+ past graduates includes transformational community figures in government, business, non-profit, and community organizations.
Leadership Park City identifies, encourages, and trains community leaders, providing class members a long-term, group-oriented learning opportunity. It is patterned after other successful community leadership programs around the country and the Kellogg National Leadership Program. The program features monthly workshops covering local and state topics of interest taught by decision-makers working at the heart of the issues.
Every year, the class, elected officials, and local stakeholders travel to a western town or city facing similar challenges. Dubbed "CityTour,"" the trip features intimate conversations with local counterparts, tours of local landmarks/businesses, and the opportunity to experience the local culture.
Finally, each class designs and develops a "class project" focused on improving the local community. Past class projects have transformed Park City and the surrounding area.
Graduates of Leadership Park City frequently speak about the lifelong benefits that they attribute to the program, including the formation of deep friendships, a deep understanding of the inner workings of the community, and the development of personal leadership skills.
